These cookies are one of my favorite and most simple cookies! For a traditional Swedish fika!
TIP: Want it vegan? Use vegan margarine instead of butter.
Ingredients
Butter room temp. 100g
Sugar 60g or 1 dl
Vanilla sugar 1 teaspoons
Dark syrup 2 tbsp
Flour white 150g or 2,5dl
Baking powder 1 teaspoon
Before baking chop and gently press on salted almonds.
Mix butter, sugar, vanilla and dark syrup smooth. Mix flour with baking powder and quickly mix together with the butter mix.
Divide dough into 2 pieces, roll out to approximately 40cm long and flatten out. Bake for 12 minutes at 175C. Let rest for 3-5 min and cut with a sharp knife into slices.
Cookies are good in room temp for 1 month or in freezer.
